METAIRIE, La. — A few health parks in Metairie will open this summer that will bring outdoor fitness centers and workouts to the Jefferson Parish.
The gyms are opening thanks to a partnership involving Jefferson Metropolis Councilwoman Jennifer Van Vracken, the Jefferson Chamber Basis, LCMC overall health, and FitLot.
The first two parks at Bonnabel Boat Launch and Hog Alley Linear Park are now open for use with ribbon-cuttings established for June 16 and June 22 respectively, in accordance to a press release.
The parks characteristic a mix of cardio, stability, overall flexibility, and energy gear intended for ages 13 and more mature.
The third location will open at Clearview Shores Park later in the summer months.
FitLot had lately accomplished parks in New Orleans.
“By partnering with LiveWell Jefferson, LCMC Health and fitness, and FitLot, we’re eradicating quite a few of the limitations inhabitants experience in achieving a nutritious, extra lively lifestyle,” Van Vrancken said in the push release. “These fitness parks just take the walls off the health and fitness center and generate cost-free access to high quality fitness machines along with standard training lessons guided by our Jefferson Parks & Recreation Division.”
