Frequently asked questions:

How do you care for the brownie pan?

Because the brownie pan has a nonstick coating, it will release food easily and be simple to clean. Even though it does have this nonstick coating, foods will release more easily when cups are lightly greased first. You can also use paper cupcake liners for even easier clean up. Hand wash when finished using.

How to store the brownie pan?

My favorite way to store the brownie pan is to store it upright in a slotted cabinet above the refrigerator (great use of space) or you can store upright in another cabinet as well.

How do you make brownies in it?

To make brownies, you can use your own recipe or a boxed mix. When baking, be sure to turn the oven temperature down by 25 degrees due to the darker color of the pan. Also, reduce cooking time by 5-10 minutes because the darker color of the pan attracts heat quickly. Test your recipe for doneness at that time and adjust time as needed.

Should I turn down the oven temperature for baking with the brownie pan?

Yes, turn down the oven temperature by 25 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve the best baking results. The pan is heat-safe to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

Do you use cooking spray in the brownie pan?

Non-stick cooking sprays may leave a sticky residue in the corners of the pan, so if you use it, wash the pan thoroughly to prevent residue buildup.  You can also brush canola oil with the Silicone Basting Brush or spray canola oil using the Kitchen Spritzer.

How do you fill the brownie pan?

To fill the pan with batter, I recommend filling no more than ⅔ full. You can use the Large Scoop to accomplish this easily. Or if you do not have a Large Scoop, then you can use a spoon but it may be messier.

How do you know when the brownies are ready?

Use the Cake Tester & Releaser. Just probe the brownie with the metal end and if it removes from the brownie without crumbs, they are ready to come out of the oven.

How long should I wait to remove brownies from the pan?

For the cleanest removal, you should wait 20-30 minutes while the brownies cool down from the oven. Using the Cake Tester & Releaser will help you release them from the sides very easily.
